Tired But Not Retired

In this disoriented world, the natural steps of man’s life is described in three words: worry, hurry and bury. Seeing what is happening across the world will make us realize that we are indeed stranded in time of uncertainties. Undeniably, we are in survival mode. Many people are already tired beyond measure and choose to retire from many areas and activities of life.
Despite the presence of physical and spiritual tiredness, we are assured that our strength is being replenished day by day by the Lord through His sustaining grace. In Psalm 28:7-9, it is written, The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. 9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever. (KJV) By the grace of God, we can be strong even in time of crises.
Don’t Falter In The Path Of Duty Galatians 6:9, 10
As we go through the path of duty, we must keep on trusting the Lord and continue bearing fruits even in our old age. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:7-8, Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. (KJV) Behind our “abounding work in the Lord” is our consistent reliance on Him.
The Bible says in Galatians 6:9, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (KJV) Using our own strength in the ministry will cause us to falter in the long run. On the other hand, using the power of God will make us strong and productive till the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
-Keep on sowing good seed Galatians 6:7, 8
Avoid sowing bad seed that could lead you to miserable harvest. In contrast, sow good seed and wait for golden harvest. In Galatians 6:7-8, it is written, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (KJV) We must keep investing on things with eternal values and benefits.
Let your work abound in the Lord Galatians 6:9, 10
Let us continue serving the Lord in sincerity and in truth and let Him bless the works of our hands. In II Peter 1:5-8, it is written, And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) These verses give us understanding on things we truly need to possess so we may not be barren, but be fruitful and abounding in the work of the Lord.
The Bible says in Galatians 6:9-10, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (KJV) Continue doing good works for the benefit of all men, especially to those in the family of God.
Reminder:
We need to encourage one another as we labor in the harvest field and let the Lord bless us with abounding works. In I Corinthians 15:58, it is written, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV) We must keep in mind that our labor in the ministry of the Lord is not in vain but will be rewarded in due time.
