The power of God’s love is far beyond what most people have in mind. It’s height, length, width and depth are unmeasurable and unimaginable. God’s love is pure and within the framework of truth. Those who are experiencing such love will surely praise and thank God at all times. God loved us before we love Him. The Bible says in I John 4:19, We love him, because he first loved us. (KJV)
Realizing how God loves us in an incomparable way will trigger our hearts not only to love Him in return, but to serve Him in sincerity and in truth. We are so blest to have a loving Father in heaven whose hands are always ready to embrace and protect us during adversities. In time of uncertainties, rely on the Lord’s working and be lifted up by His borderless love.
In Romans 8:38-39, it is written, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) God’s love is truly hope-giving to the lost and dying world.
(I) Displayed By The Lord Jesus At The Cross Romans 5:8 Romans 8:38, 39
Christ’s love on the Cross was the best act of love ever expressed from eternity past to eternity future. The Bible says in Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV) What Christ has done at Calvary was exceptional and beneficial to fallen human race.
God’s love is a mission-related love that is being extended to all kinds of people from all generations. In John 3:16, it is written, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) Mission to save fallen man was started from the heart of God and was wonderfully manifested through Christ’s earthly ministry and sacrificial death at the Cross.
-Beyond man’s comprehension Ephesians 3:19
God’s love is beyond man’s understanding. The Bible says in Ephesians 3:19, And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (KJV) God’s love is life-changing. Countless people found true love in Christ and their lives were changed in a very significant way.
It could be demonstrated through a believer’s life Ephesians 5:1
Every believer in our time has an important part in reaching lost souls. Christ-like love is so important in winning souls and edifying other believers for their spiritual growth. The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:1-2, Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (KJV) Walking in love as Christ loves us will make us shine brightly in this sin-darkened world.
Spiritual insights to live by:
As beneficiaries of God’s love, it should be our desire and commitment to love and serve the “True and Living God” with Christ-like life so we may lead more souls to be saved through faith in Him. (See John 21:15-17)
We cannot imagine how miserable our lives would be if the Lord Jesus Christ had not come to us with His redeeming love. The Bible says in I John 3:1, Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (KJV) What a wonderful love that turned our lives upside down and we became the children of God.
In John 15:13, the Lord said, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV) Despite the sinfulness of man, God’s great love prevailed and made us free from the power of death. In I Corinthians 15:56-57, it is written, The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) To God be the glory great things He has done!
