Keep On Abounding In The Work Of The Lord

Living and working are inseparable things in man’s earthly existence. After the downfall of man, the LORD God said to Adam in Genesis 3:19, In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (KJV) Since the downfall of man, human beings must work to survive in this sin-darkened world.
As lights of the world, we must shine continually and lead lost souls to the Lord Jesus Christ so they may be saved through faith in Him. As we see the spiritual needs of this lost and dying world, we must keep on abounding in the work of the Lord and be a blessing to multitudes of people.
(I) Clear Evidence Of Believers’ Connectivity To The Lord I Corinthians 15:58
Without Christ, we cannot do anything good in the ministry, but in Him, we can do great things for His honor and glory. The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) What an inspiring verse for us to claim as we tread the course of duty.
We must stay connected to the Lord and enjoy a fruitful life. The Lord Jesus said in John 15:4-5, Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (KJV) Being connected to the Lord will keep us abounding in His work.

The believers’ productiveness depends on how they rely on the Lord and how they do things according to His blessed will. Despite the presence of intimidating adversities around us, we can still have the needed composure to face them because in Christ, we are more than conquerors. (See Romans 8:37)
Whatever situation we have in life, we must keep on trusting the Lord and we will be amazed of the wonderful working of the Holy Ghost in our lives and through the ministries that are entrusted to us. The Bible says in I Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV)
Be faithful in serving God and He will make you firm and stable in your Christian life and service. Labor on expecting something great from God and He will lead you to spiritual fruitfulness. Keep on serving God and always abounding in His work.
The rewarding task I Corinthians 15:58
Serving the Lord is a rewarding task. God will never forget what we are doing in His ministry. In Hebrews 6:10, it is written, For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (KJV) Keep on doing good works for the sake of truth and for the benefits of others. (See Galatians 6:10)
The Apostle Paul wrote in I Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV) What we are doing today in Christ’s Name is not in vain, but purposely for the glory of God. Endure the hardness of life and fulfill the ministry that God has entrusted to you and be rewarded in due time.
Conclusion:
Serving the Lord is truly a great privilege, opportunity and honor. Having a part in the work of the Lord is a great role to be thanked for. The Lord said in John 12:26, If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. (KJV) It should be our desire and conviction to serve the True and Living God in sincerity and in truth until He comes.
