Avoid Disorderly Walk
Text: II Thessalonians 3:6, 7 IBCGH June 28, 2026

Orderly walk will surely lead a man to a decent and righteous living. In this chaotic world, believers must avoid walking with disorderly people so they may not become partakers of their evil works. Let the Lord lead you in the right path and be an example to the people around you. In Psalm 37:23, it is written, The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. (KJV) Steps of faith are well-pleasing to God.
(I) Follow Believers With Orderly Walk II Thessalonians 3:6, 7
Following the steps of godly men is a sign of wisdom. In contrast, following disorderly people will lead a man to a messy life. The Apostle Paul said in II Thessalonians 3:6-7, Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; (KJV) Withdraw yourselves from disorderly believers and keep on doing things orderly and decently.
-Avoid idleness II Thessalonians 3:6, 7
Idleness should not be seen in the life of a believer because wasting time is foolishness that leads a man to unproductiveness. Be a good steward of time and keep on serving the Lord in sincerity and in truth. In II Thessalonians 3:10-11, it is written, For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. (KJV) Don’t let gossiping and backbiting become your habit and trademark, but rather, tell others about Jesus as the Savior of fallen mankind.
Keep on doing good II Thessalonians 3:12, 13
Be a silent worker in the work of the Lord. Keep on doing good for others’ benefit especially to the household of faith. The Bible says in II Thessalonians 3:12-13, Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. 13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. (KJV) Don’t be weary in well doing because in due time you will be rewarded.
Avoid having fellowship with questionable people II Thessalonians 3:14, 15
Be careful and watchful of the kind of group you are fellowshipping with. Be sure they will not influence you by their questionable way. The Apostle Paul wrote in II Thessalonians 3:14-15, And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. (KJV) Don’t join yourself to a company of disorderly people.
The Bible reminds us of the blessedness of not walking in the counsel of the ungodly as written in Psalm 1:1, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (KJV) Have fellowship with believers who have godly conviction and strict adherence to the precepts of truth
Reminder:
It’s always good to behave wisely and orderly as we live in this disoriented world. Do what is right and pleasing in the sight of God and be a shining light to lead others to the saving knowledge of Christ. In Ephesians 5:15-16, it is written, See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (KJV) The best things we can do in this world is to live a well-sanctified life and continue sharing the Gospel of Christ until the Lord’s glorious coming.
The Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (KJV) Keep on abounding in the work of the Lord and live a well-spent life for His honor and glory.
